At Houston Methodist, the Courier position is responsible for the transportation of medications, laboratory specimens, medical records, patient belongings, and other misc. This position is also responsible for accurately sorting, organizing, and transporting specimens and medications between various pharmacy/laboratory locations, nursing units, and physician offices. The Courier position performs deliveries accurately and efficiently within the allotted time standards and ensures deliveries are made throughout the Houston Methodist complex on a 24-hour basis. This position must be able to communicate appropriately and work closely with other staff and co-workers.

This position supports the physician practices by analyzing performance reports and data to inform decision-making, process, and program implementation. The Population Health Advisor position monitors and implements educational and process interventions based on practice-level data, trends and identified opportunities.

At Houston Methodist, the Transporter position is responsible for transporting acute, intensive and critical care patients in a timely manner by wheelchair, transcart, stretcher or bed. This position supports the interprofessional team in delivering high quality patient care during transit. The Transporter position moves inpatients and outpatients to diagnostic testing and therapeutic areas, clinics, physician\'s offices, admissions and discharges throughout the complex. This position will assist with preventing patient falls by retrieving the Hover Mat/Jack, lifting and moving the patient to a stretcher and transporting the patient back to his/her room. The Transporter position must be able to communicate appropriately and work closely with nursing staff and co-workers. This position delivers patient room furnishings such as bed extensions, sleep chairs, and transports empty beds, as requested, as a backup duty when others are not available.

At Houston Methodist, the Senior Care Coordinator position is responsible for providing technical, clerical assistance and data management support to the care management department staff to facilitate efficient utilization of resources and discharge planning including referrals management, communication and collaboration with post-acute care providers, access to agencies and other community resources and transportation. The Senior Care Navigator Coordinator position performs administrative clerical duties including but not limited to coordinating needed physician referrals and appointments, conditions and assisting with population health initiatives, demonstrating independent actions necessary to provide competent and professional assistance to meet the needs of interprofessional health care team and patients. This position coordinates, oversees, records and transmits information pertinent to the resource management of patients to next level of care providers and performs a wide variety of administrative duties of a higher complexity in support of Care Management operations. The Senior Care Navigator Coordinator position develops and provides training to Care Navigator Coordinators around daily process like documentation, quality metrics, referrals and patient communication. This position requires a highly motivated self-starter who possesses the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships quickly.
